I find it a little humorous that rmu is in the running with a big FBS school and another smaller FBS school. It would be a great grab, but is it realistic?

Pretty unreal and just that tweet is great for RMU football with wpial kids I think. Not sure if realistic, but fun all the same.

"but if Nunez is consistently as good as his highlights look"

From your comments on this forum, it is obvious to me that you know a lot more about football than I do. But one thing I know for sure is that no athlete in the world is as good or as consistent as they look in their highlight tape. LOL, there are kids that are barely D-3 prospects that look like future All-Pros on their tapes. A highlight tape can even make a nice guy basketball coach, Mike Rice for example, look like a raging maniac! LOL ;)

I don't think I'm super educated, I just thought he showed in his rape that he's far more athletic than any of our current qb's. I watched his freshman tape from Glendale college and he uses his feet to take off a lot. he looks like he can save plays when the o line lapses like it did last season

Tyblake2 I totally agree with you, and as I mentioned, you know a lot more about football than I do. I was just having some fun because so often highlight tapes can make average players look like super stars. :)

Quote, after checking the stats it would appear he could be. On his twitter, he announced he was leaving SDSU, and just a few minutes later, RMU offer.

Wonder if the coaches found out about him from old JUCO coach who knew he was thinking of leaving. He put up HUGE numbers in JUCO.

Geno Stone committed to Kent State. If I have some time today/tomorrow I will try to go through some of the list to see if can take any more guys "off the board".

Just again wanted to say thanks to ORMC for keeping that "Master List" of offers, commits. I really appreciate it.

EDIT: Also, Merry Christmas to all you guys, glad I finally signed up here for football this year. I know there are not a ton of us that post on here, but I really enjoy being able to share thoughts, news about the Colonials. Hope you all have a restful, fulfilling holiday season.

Merry Christmas to all and congrats on an awesome thread this is taking on a life of its own.

Anything new? Especially with the QBs. Are we getting Andre Nunez? Anything new with Jimmy Walker?

The longer it goes without an official announcement from Nunez or RMU. I would think options like Walker become more plausible.

I'm getting a really funny feeling Nunez is hoping for a new offer to come in or a better one. I hope I'm wrong, but it is strange that he has not said anything to show he is coming

Not positive with Nunez, thought that was a done deal but perhaps not. That Jimmy Walker looks like the real deal though. I have no clue what he is doing though. It is dead period so would be tough for him to get offers I think, though I may have the rules wrong.

I saw jimmy walker tweet that he is transferring in the spring, does that mean over winter break before the next semester starts and after the spring semester?

I'm kind of excited for the spring semester, that way we can actually see who's on campus when school starts and who is no longer here or who is coming in

Exactly TY. Hopefully someone can update us when the semester gets going.

There also maybe an under radar FBS transfer or juco guy we have not heard of until they show up.

Added Jimmy Walker.
The last I heard on Nunez was that it was just a verbal. Coaches were still waiting for his signature. Now this update is a few weeks old so things could be different now.

Also, Griffin Dahn seems to be waiting for a few months to sign with a school. Perhaps holding out for a larger school to offer but strange as JUCOs tend to sign and enroll in the Spring Semester.

These young men are in a tough spot, and as I am sure you all know, the offers are fluid. I am sure if RMU gets a couple signatures, those other offers are then void.

Especially in the NEC with the scholarship limitations, a team would be hard pressed to use 5 full scholarships on QBs.

Would have to think Barr and Chase are close to full rides if not full. Just assuming here, but would think Nunez, Walker would have been offered full.

The more I watch walkers film the more he looks like a QB that could thrive in Millers pro style attack.

I agree, Walker looks like the real deal. SDSU is a hell of team. For them to think enough of him to offer him says a lot about him in my opinion.

Jim Walker is the father of Jimmy Walker. He also was Jimmy's high school coach at Redlands.
Checking Jim Walker's twitter @CoachWalkerRHS the three most recent twitters he is following are: RMU Football, John Banaszak and Mike Miller.

Good find gormu. Hopefully that bodes well for the colonials!

Edit: just watched Walker's highlight again. I really think he could help a lot. Can really sling it. Starting to get fairly nervous regarding the Nunez commitment, or lack thereof.

Anybody have any inside info on either of them?

I would really like to see at least 1 qb sign in the very near future so I could settle my nerves a little

If there is one thing this staff does pretty well it's formulate a recruiting plan and attack that. You've seen that this year with the emphasis on local talent as well as targeting positions like DL, LB, & OL. As well as a focus in QB recruiting to the JUCO ranks. With the semester ending wouldn't surprise me to see the staff focus in and get another QB on campus early in Jan or wait it out with Nunez.

Just for what its worth, I do not think we spoke much about him here, but that Kevin Brown from Plum seems like a great athlete.

Not sure where RMU is thinking of putting him, but he may make an impact at least on special teams as a freshman.

He definitely looks like a great athlete. I'm wondering if he will play receiver, DB, or a little bit of RB in different sets. I think he's capable of all 3

If he is geared more to O, he may get in on more of wildcat formation perhaps, guess depends on QB situation.

Last night was the first time I watched VA Tech this year. I know I am being super optimistic, but that O with Nunez at QB, Cole, Satcher, Dreher in the backfield could be something special in the NEC.

I totally agree, that would give them a 3 headed monster in the backfield with 3 different types of runners and would keep each of them fresh, then the injury issues of last season hopefully won't haunt them again

He has been living in San Diego. Let's all pray for good weather when he visits!

Ty, thanks for heads up. Hopefully all goes well.

Also good news with Dalton. He is a big boy.

EDIT: Hope Jimmy bought a one way ticket!!
