RE: Nunez
Because I am crazy, I looked up Iowa Western's Academic Calendar. Their Mid year graduation is Saturday, then there J term starts. J term ends 1/6/17.
Just a thought in-case there was a class/credits he needed.
Also, that school puts out some serious recruits. Would be great to start a little pipeline with them. Also surprised that RMU is not linked a bit more with Lackawanna. Not a bad couple places to get a guy or two a year from.
I would hope so, but they are caa. I think rmu has significantly better facilities, much better shot of playoffs, playing good ooc schedule, closer to home, lots DMV kids on team. I did look again this morning but I'm pretty sure he also has morgan state if he wants to stay home.
Pure speculation here but I think we are seeing RMU target either JUCO or Post Grad QB's. Clearly Nunez is the top choice since he was on a visit but I would be shocked to see RMU take another high school QB.
Feel a little uncomfortable about this Nunez signing. Every kid signed from https://twitter.com/ReiverFootball posted something, retweeted...Nunez didn't make a post or anything it's crickets from him.
Am I worried about nothing or does anyone have the same feeling?
Just my thoughts, as I am worried also. He may need to finish up a class or two in j term. Though, if he signed as the one tweet says, you would think he would have announced it.
I expect sfu to drop off next year, they lose their 3 best players on defense as well as drawer the QB. The next man in line is koester and he went to west allegheny right down the road. I'm shocked that he went D1, he never showed anything spectacular or had anything special in his game that made me think he really succeed at this level. I guess we will see this fall
Any update on the status of Aiden Howard, the Gateway product that was a UVA recruit last year, who then transferred to RMU? According to a newspaper report a while back, there was a question if he would ever play again due to an injury from a hazing incident at UVA. If he plays for RMU, he will give us a big and very talented WR.
I'm pretty sure he will be playing this spring in spring ball and suit up this fall. You can add him to this recruiting class along with Eric McCallister since they both weren't able to play last season
I really think, if most of guys hang, Bodeman competes with Andre and Barr. Could be a pretty big turn around. I saw last night, RMU is ETSU's homecoming game at their new on campus stadium.
I think bodeman can definitely compete with those two, but if Nunez is consistently as good as his highlights look, he looks like the front runner for the job. East Tennessee state is back on the schedule next season plus North Dakota state, along with Youngstown state and Dayton I'm assuming? Does anybody know of the other non conference game? I'm assuming would have to be at home since the others will be on the road
