New Offers

Not to derail this thread, but if rmu can get 2 good looking QBs this class. Chase and Barr stick around and actually want to compete for the job, I think that solves a lot of current issues. Seema like a lot of college kids now transfer so quickly if they can't play immediately instead of embracing the competition.

Of course that is assuming most of the online comes back and the d is typical Farison d.

Could be a hell of turn around in a hell of hurry!

Agreed, I would still like to see one more tall receiver. We have too many guys playing receiver under 6 ft

Another one from ARC Sacramento

Proud to receive my first D-1 offer from Robert Morris #Colonials @Coach_Ohout

Cyc8jrHUoAACZ-v.jpg

6'4" 315 Guard

Added (6'6" QB that can move a bit in the pocket...get this kid!!!)

He never really threw a ball...he flicked his wrist 50yds on a dime and showed progression stepping up in the pocket,he moves around ok and he can release quick. I absolutely agree this kid needs to have everyone let him know he could help turn it around immediately. Mike Miller better be at this kids house and on the phone as much as any rule will allow.

I was doing a little research on JUCO transfers to the D1 level after the offer to the ARC QB who is a freshman. From what I gather, and take this with a grain of salt, but if he was a qualifier out of HS, and did at least 12 credits at ARC with a 2.5, he could transfer in December and be eligible to practice and play immediately. I would imagine all of that is in order if he was offered a FULL Scholarship as reported in his twitter.

Some of you probably knew all of that, but I was unsure of the freshman JUCO transfer rules. If anyone is a dork like me, here is the link. http://www.ncaapublications.com/productdownloads/TGONLINE22016.pdf

Ty thanks for updates, wonder if some of previous offers have gone somewhere else. Recruiting is really a fascinating game now a days.

Also, hard to know what the potential offers are with the ability to break up the scholarship dollars.

Just looking off his twitter he words his post a little differently which is why I dont think its an offer but a Walk ON opportunity. He never mentions offer ......

"Extremely thankful for my first opportunity to play Division 1 football! #ColonialPride"

same thing with Wofford Excited to have the opportunity to play football @Wofford_FB

Clearly Coach Miller wants a tall QB. The video shows that Conor had a 4.0 GPA, so I suspect there would be no problem with him qualifying to enroll in the spring.

It also seems clear that the coaching staff is working hard to bring in a quality JUCO QB and JUCO OL.

As disappointing as this past season was, I am getting really excited about next season. Go Colonials!

Those JUCO guys, especially the ones from good conferences are battle tested. That's 3 JUCO QB offers now, 2 that we know from their posts are full ride guys.

Another note about Conor Miller, from his twitter looks like he was down on the field at Cal so perhaps he is at least getting looked at by them. Think El Camino's roster said he is from FLA.

His twitter says he's from Fort Lauderdale. He went to cypress bay high school near fort lauderdale

I do not know if Banny travels much recruiting, but for one of these good JUCO QB's I hope he is getting on plane to lock one of these guys up ASAP for DEC/Jan transfer.

I believe Coleman also just gave an offer to Corey brown from the Avalon school in Maryland. He's 6'3 295 lbs, and holds offers from Delaware state and Morgan state

Also according to juco football frenzy, Conor miller and griffin dahn are both eligible for December transfers

Curious, I do not know how they do it anymore, but does RMU pay for flights for kids on official visits now?

A funny feeling has me thinking it's John muehlbauer from Thomas Jefferson. 'Or confirmed, but he liked and retweeted everything the coaches put up, along with a couple of his teammates. I really hope it's him, I would actually throw him at receiver instead of the secondary

I'm willing to bet it wasn't muehlbauer from Thomas Jefferson, tanner schulthies tweeted about a DB which narrows it down

A little birdie told me it was indeed John Muehlbauer and it looks like the Colonials have him slated for Safety next season. I agree with tyblake if he doesnt work out there, seems to have a skill set for WR

Also was able to speak to someone who would know, The four official visitors from last weekend include :

John Sheldon - Commit
Adam Sedzmak- Commit
Bussy Remaley - Commit
Josh Burgett - TE Grove City offer kid

Colonial Fanatic, and word on how they went? I really like that Burgett kid. Hopefully he really enjoyed his visit. I think he has at least one FBS offer.

Colonial Fanatic or anyone else, do you have any idea if any of the JUCO's might be favoring RMU? Close to signing for 2nd semester??

I find the offer to Todd hill to be interesting, from my research he is only a sophomore. Also holds one other offer, Cincinnati

After I posted it, I thought he was young, figured I was missing something though, do not recall a lot of early offers, certainly do not recall a sophomore being offered.

Another offer to an offensive lineman, even after 3 commitments already. The coaches are definitely making the line a point of emphasis in recruiting. But does this mean something else? Do they keep offering guys because they expect some turnover up front? I'm not sure, but I do find it interesting

Added but it does make you think.
5 Offers to TEs
13 Offers to OL with 3 verbally committed.

Gotta think that there is going to be some attrition on the OL bringing in 5 last year and the way this year is going & Also heard some rumors surrounding a Defensive Lineman leaving as well.

Also does any find it odd that Duane Brown is publicizing his division 2 offers as an RMU commit ? Could he be wavering ? Could RMU be looking else where ?

And it will prob

He only noted the recent offer from IUP. The others are retweets for other players.
Just because he is verbal for RMU does not guarantee he will sign. Other programs will lose verbals too and could have more scholarships/money to offer.
