FYI Bosco Institute did tweet pictures of Cameron Wilbon signing his LOI.
Glad that they did.
We were just saying that RMU should tweet something out too.
Kids these days want that exposure & media love from anywhere.

Yes, I know. I agree. I was responding to GoRMU who asked if we knew who had signed their LOI.Glad that they did.

That would be fun. Hope Shea comes to RMU!A new and interesting wrinkle in the search for a point guard...
Maybe RMU isn't wild about the rest of the high school guard market besides Tykei Greene. Could potentially add this grad transfer to back up Jon Williams, add some veteran experience, and push the search for another point guard to 2019.

Cameron Wilbon article here.
I keep thinking it would be great if RMU could get some local basketball recruits, even ones that live within a hundred mile radius. I realize the Pittsburgh area does not produce that many D-I basketball prospects. But, if you can get a kid from the area who may not be quite as ready as a kid from another part of the Country, but is more likely to stick around for four years, he may turn out better by his jr and sr years than those kids that leave after one or two years. On Sunday, the Post-Gazette published its Fabulous 5. one of those players, Amante Britt of Woodlands Hills has not made his college decision. He is being recruited by some of the best D-II schools in the area. I wondered if RMU has even considered him. Today, there is an article in the PG, Robert Morris shows interest in Woodlands Hills standout Amante Britt. According to the article, Britt was on RMU's campus on Monday and worked out for Coach Toole and Toole "might be coming to watch him play this weekend when Britt's AAU team, PK Flash, plays in the Pitt Jam Fest." Woodland Hills coach Odell Miller said, " they wouldn't have to worry about him being ineligible
. He's a 4.0 student. They get a kid who's a gym rat. They get a kid who's a playmaker and can come in and pass the ball. He has a high basketball IQ and he's a scorer."
Per Verbal Commit he has offers from Clarion, Cal Pa, Millersville, Pitt Johnstown and La Moyne. Nothing against this kid but I thought we were past the time when we recruited kids that none of the other 300+ D1 schools deemed worthy. Guessing that our pool of potential PGs has diminished.
I watched a few minutes of his highlight tape here and he has skills. His size is probably the thing that D1coaches are shying away from. If Coach Toole takes a chance on him then that's good enough for me.
Harper will be a 2019 graduate - only a HS junior.

Verbal Commits says that Atem Bior has committed to UTSA. He may have a very similar game as HS commit Elijah Kiah El.
They may seek a JUCO to get some experience and to even out the classes.
Three seniors, one junior, five sophomores, two incoming freshmen.
Two spots available. Just seems like a natural fit to add at least one juco. A juco won't or forward and a freshman point guard.
I don't know that Andy would want to have a grad transfer considering how many seniors he already has.
Atem Bior has committed to UTSA. Wonder if one of the two assistant coaches that RMU lost recently was the lead recruiter involved with Bior, and that caused him to re-open his recruiting. Too bad, he looked like a guy that could add some inside scoring punch.
New commit. 6-foot-6 wing.
He had some initial offers from A-10 schools, but seems like they all fell off. Could be a steal.
Nice pickup! Looks like a Koby Thomas body but with handles and pretty long range shot. He'll be a matchup problem! They call him a 3 star 6'7 combo guard. Video of a private practice session here.
A new 2019 offer. Somewhat local kid, just across the boarder in West Virginia. Plays with a local AAU.
RMU also apparently watched this 2018 point guard over the weekend, looks like at the Pitt Jam Fest. He's probably in the mix with Jonas Harper and the kid from Woodland Hills.
With the commitment from Philmon Gibrewhit today, RMU doesn't need any more size. Absolutely need another point guard, even if it's someone just to spell Jon Williams 8-10 minutes per game. Are we looking at any big men to add to the class?
That or a PG is a good last minute addition for the 13th scholly spot.
We could use a legit post player but the last scholarship must go to a PG.With the commitment from Philmon Gibrewhit today, RMU doesn't need any more size. Absolutely need another point guard, even if it's someone just to spell Jon Williams 8-10 minutes per game.
Wing players seem to be the sweet spot where we can reach a little and get better players.Gebrewhit and Wilbon both small forwards, although both may have the ability to play multiple positions. Gebrewhit apparently had higher level interest a year ago, but apparently, it fell off, or the "interest" did not turn out to be an actual scholarship when it came to signing time. Regardless he seems to be a good get by an NEC school, especially this late in the recruiting season. I really like that it appears that he is an excellent outside shooter. RMU usually lacks inside offensive punch, so having outside shooters is necessary. Wilbon was rehabbing from an injury for a year. He apparently was getting some good recruiting interest prior to the injury. Coach Toole has struck gold before taking players that would have been higher level recruits had it not been for injuries. I am thinking about Karvel Anderson and Rodney Pryor. Hopefully, both of these guys turn out to be steals, just like those two.
