good evening all!

The football season in review article is up! Let me know your thoughts. Would love to engage in conversation about this past season and what to expect next year. Also, will have an #RMCMB article up late tonight!

I liked the article and agreed with mostly everything except the season being successful. I saw a 9-2 football team finish the season with a 4-7 record. Yes the offense had some struggles, but if they had handled the hicks situation early in the year or before the season started, this team would've won the conference. On that note, moving forward I see no reason this team doesn't win the conference next season if they find a quality offensive coordinator. The defense in my opinion dropped off a tad late in the season, I think that was a combination of losing kimani for the year and stojkovic being banged up. Even with the loss of leadership, farison will have that defense ready to play every game just like this year. I have high expectations for this team next year. Can't wait to see what the recruiting class finishes like!

I agree, I mean, in every season of all sports there are teams that are suppose to finish better than what they do, sometimes it just doesn't fall your way. I think Bannaszak was giving Hicks every opportunity to turn it around due to their relationship, but obviously it didn't work out. The play calling was very predictable and certain players weren't being used correctly. I am very curious to see where they look to hire a OC. As far as the defense, losing Smith was killer, you're absolutely right. I also think they started to wear down because they got tired. The defense was on the field a lot and over the course of the season, asking this defense to sustain a high energy level is difficult, especially considering how much they were on the field. If things come together and everything clicks, this team should be in contention next season.

I know it's a little early and premature, but what do you expect the offensive line to look like next season? And who do you expect to step into the starting middle linebackers with tkach and stok gone?

I think Brian's post got the OL covered lol but as far as linebackers, I think Gerald Ferguson will see an increased role as far as being more versatile. I know there were some freshman(upcoming sophomores) the coaching staff liked, but I think a lot of it will depend on who puts the work in and performs in spring ball and training camp.
