I think the NEC had a ton of potential in football had they upped the schollys when Albany and Monmouth were pushing for it.
They could still push out to the max and be a good, though unstable conference. Nec, like most mid major conferences are bball driven, and I do not know how many of the gyms in the NEC you guys have been to, but some are just not d1 level.
I am a football/lax guy first, so bball does not mean as much to me, but it is clear where rmu is focusing now with the new arena.
Nec football needs to max schollys, and add members asap. It does that and it again becomes a truly viable conference in my opinion.
