Robert Morris lands nine on All-NEC teams

Nine Robert Morris players were honored with Northeast Conference postseason awards Wednesday when the NEC unveiled its All-NEC teams and major award winners.

Punter Tony LaMancusa, corner Antwan Eddie, defensive end Forrest Mason and wide receiver Duane Mitchell were all named to the All-NEC second team. Eddie was honored again as an All-NEC first team selection at kick returner, and he was joined on the first team by linebacker Mike Cook, defensive lineman A.J. Holderman, offensive lineman A.J. Dalton and tight end Tyler Digby.

Robert Morris was shut out of the major awards. The Coach of the Year award went to Sacred Heart coach Mark Nofri, for turning around Sacred heart from a 2-9 finish last year to a 10-2 record and FCS playoff berth in 2013. Pioneers QB R.J. Noel was named Offensive Rookie of the Year, running back Keshaudas Spence was named Offensive Player of the Year and DE Troy Moore was named Defensive Player of the Year. Saint Francis safety Lorenzo Jerome was named Defensive Rookie of the Year.
