is down to his top 2 with RMU & LMU!

Fellow JUCO recruit DJ Russell is following him on twitter, which could be a good sign. He’s ranked 33rd on the JUCO top 100 & has a lot of offers including Nevada & Arkansas per Verbal Commits.

Just makes it seem more and more likely some guys are leaving and it just hasn't been announced yet.

AJ Bramah and DJ Russell are both true forwards. They don't shoot the 3, don't have much of a perimeter game. So without some transfers, this is looking like a very big man heavy roster.

Ideally it's guys like David Cole, Chris Coalmon, and Sayveon McEwen. Those guys are solid players and seem to be excellent representatives of the university, but their minutes are obviously not high.

Then you could have Koby and Philmon play the 3 as long, athletic guys with a bit of range (Phil might be the better shooter, from what we've heard, but Koby has the athleticism). DJ Russell, Charles Bain, Yannis Mendy, AJ Bramah, and Ngonadi Elisa can then dole up the minutes inside.

I think that'd be the least disruptive. But it probably won't work out like that.

I think this Bramah kid would play the 3 or 4 spot at most. I think he is trying to sell himself as a SF. His highlight tape has him shooting a lot of long 2 point jump shots. Preferably in my opinion he would play the 3 spot.

Also, I see Gebrewhit as a 2/3 spot guy. Kid can shoot & is a great talent. He should play the SG/SF role well.

Lastly, we don’t have Bramah commited yet so who knows but hope we land him.

Bramah was 3 of 25 from 3-point range this season. I mean, Yannis Mendy shot a better 3pt percentage in JuCo.

Unless something unexpected happens, there's no reason why RMU shouldn't be a favorite next year.

SFU will probably be the favorite, just losing King and Wolford, which is similar to RMU losing McConnell and Petteway. Sacred Heart will be better. LIU loses Clark but has some big pieces back. FDU loses Edge and Holloway, which is huge.

I'd like RMU to get someone who can come off the bench and hit perimeter shots consistently. But this team should expect to win the NEC next year.

Ya I would like a true SG freshman recruit (with next years junior class getting big).

Gebrewhit might be that SG off the bench but then again he could end up starting at SF with his size (6-6 or 6-7).

Agree with you. 6 SF and only 4 guards, one of which is a SG, is uneven. Seems like 1 or 2 SF may be leaving.

Ya Coalmon could be one of them being at the 3 or 4 spot. I like Coalmon but don’t think they’ll be any time for him with the recruits Tooles got coming in.

Cole could be a Forward leaving too after getting not a minute of playing time this year while losing a scholarship year.

He should be able to transfer & play immediately? Not 100% sure tho...

Not sure about Cole's status as a D1 transfer. I don't think he played at all this year, however he already sat out a redshift year.

Cole would not be able to play immediately at the D1 level unless he's graduating. He's been at RMU for three years, so that's possible, but who knows.

I think if he were to leave, he'd likely go D2.

I figure three guys could leave for playing time - Cole, Coalmon, and McEwen. The only other guy that wouldn't shock me is Koby. But I keep going back to the fact that he never really moped or was a bad teammate. So he could think he just had a rough year and wants to come back to RMU and be an impact player as a junior.

Ya that’s what I was thinking. Since he already used FR year to redshirt he’s screwed as a D1 transfer. Best to go D2 now probably.

Since we have 1 more player than than allowed rn, I expect we hear about at least 1-2 transfers within a week or 2.

Go RMU

If McEwen leaves they have to bring in another guard. They can't go with only 3 on the roster. That would be foolish.

Even if he stays, I wouldn't be surprised for them to get another guard.

They've got plenty of size coming in. If, for example, Cole and Coalmon leave, I could see them adding a guard instead of another big man.

I don't get too excited about "offers" that are to players in next year's classes. But here's one that caught my eye, a 6'11" player from France currently at St. Benedict Prep. Apparently, RMU is the first to offer. Who knows, maybe there is a connection with Yannis Mendy.

Someone who is 6-11 excites me in general as that is bigger than RMU normally gets (which is 6-8, 6-9 max).
