I get the impression that we, the fans, may be taking Notre Dame too lightly. It's not THE Notre Dame, but that does not mean it does not have a good football program. It's D-II, but there are a lot of very strong D-II teams capable of beating FCS teams. I am not familiar with Virginia-Wise, but Notre Dame beat them 42-0 this past Saturday, and a 42-0 win is impressive against anyone. I am sure the coaching staff is not taking this game lightly, and hopefully, the players are not. I expect Notre Dame to be a very good, challenging opponent. Does anyone have any knowledge about this Notre Dame, or the team's mindset heading into this game?

I have not seen their depth chart but they have some very big OL on their roster. NDC is 1-1 and have two players that average over 100yd rushing a game. Their So QB and the Fr. RB.
The put up big numbers on offense in terms of points and yardage.
43pts per game
498.5 yds per game

Average 5 sacks per game on D.

NDC is a good team and like I noted, a good test for RMU to see where they are at.

From the few players that I know who play in the Mountain East Conference, Notre Dame is considered a slightly above average team in a very good DII conference. Concord and Sheperd are the top teams with Charleston (who beat Notre Dame 56-44 in the opener) next. The Virginia-Wise team they beat is not very good at all. While I think that Notre Dame is certainly capable of winning and will give RMU a game, this is one that the Colonials must win . Perception is everything in this case. Any win is a good one, but the perception is that this win should be expected while a loss would be devastating in terms of recruiting.
