I feel like I am beating a dead horse here guys.... Jason, I understand that you are trying to balance school and the responsibility of being the publisher of this site. However, when you signed on for your role with the website you should have been aware of the time commitment it takes to run a successful forum/website. No one is expecting a new article every day but we haven't had one update on whats going on for spring practice. I mean there are plenty of topics that you could write about : New offensive coordinator, QB competition, how are the early enrollee's ( Lamica, Madison, Anu ) doing ?

I believe that if we don't see a drastic change, it would be in your best interest to step down and hand over the rains to someone how could us colonial fans the coverage that we have come to expect with this forum. This is not meant to a bashing thread by any means either.........

I see this as bigger than a Rivals issue. It's a football program issue. There is no information on the RMU website either, nor is there anything from the school paper. A few years ago, RMU complained openly about the lack of coverage in the local and regional media as well, particularly the newspapers. But how can you complain that local papers don't give the program any exposure when the school and program itself do nothing? RMU has much more the feel of a D3 school than D1. Most D1, many D2 and even some D3 schools cover spring practice every day on their websites. Some areas have regular TV coverage during spring as well. RMU (and many NEC schools) still don't even provide decent TV coverage of games, let alone practices. Does RMU really have a recruiting advantage over D2 and D3 schools in the area when there is no coverage? Just saying you're a D1 program doesn't make you a D1 program. Time to step up on and off the field and establish this program as D1.

Agree. The roster and coaching staff is not up to date on rmucolonials.com.
RMU needs to get interns through the university to help out. Get more of a social media presence with Twitter, FB, etc...
Create your own youtube channel and post videos for fans or potential recruits.
This is something I have been harping on for a few years.
Take a look at Monmouth. They are only 1 year older in terms of football than Robert Morris and look at where their program is.
They had a Go Pro Video posted from Spring Ball...very cool.

I agree with both statements, but to my knowledge wouldn't that fall more on the athletic department more along the lines of sports information ?? ( in terms of roster updates and coaching updates and articles from the athletic department) I assuming the staff doesnt write their own articles........

The social media aspect i would disagree with; After a quick glance at the rmufootball twitter handle, they have over 1196 tweets, and 2,334 followers and are putting out tweets regularly it appears with right now the focus being the camp they are holding in June. In comparison to other NEC schools. It appears where they lack is in videos however i think that could be attributed to the fact that rmu doesnt have a full time vid coordinator and department........

CCSU Football twitter - 236 tweets and 1147 followers
Sacred Heart Football Twitter - 306 tweets and 1233 followers
Duquesne football twitter - 360 tweets and 1141 followers
Bryant Football twitter - 293 tweets and 953 followers
Wagner football twitter - 1319 tweets and 1977 followers
SFU twitter - 4398 tweets and 1504 followers
RMU Twitter - 1196 tweets and 2,334 followers

RMU Football - 3rd in tweets being put out and first in followers

For what its worth.....

RMU has to think bigger than the NEC because when the basketball leaves the NEC, the football team is going to have to adjust or be dropped.
Monmouth Football Twitter - 7,281 tweets and 3,785 followers

Basketball definitely had to leave the NEC to get to the next level.

This conference ain't going nowhere.

I would be shocked if Bobby Mo doesn't leave the NEC (in at least Hoops) in the next 5-12 years or so.

It just has to happen. The new arena should help with upping to a better league.

Definitely don't want to go to a league were we can't compete that well (A-10 i.e.). Patriot, colonial, MAAC, etc would be good landing spots IMO

Go Bobby Mo...
