Some NEC College Hoops...

• Who: Robert Morris (5-10, 1-1 NEC) vs. LIU Brooklyn (8-7, 1-1)
• When: 7:01 p.m.
Where: Charles L. Sewall Center Webcast: NEC Front Row
• Radio: ESPN Pittsburgh
• Boxscore: NCAA GameTracker

RMU has a chance to get above .500 tonight in NEC play with a win against LIU Brooklyn.

LIU for the most part played a very poor (easy) non-conference slate and that's why they have 8 wins. Also, one of their wins was against a non-D1 team also.

This game, like a lot of NEC games RMU will play, is truly a toss up who wins.

If RMU's hitting shots (& 3's) and playing good defense, RMU should win by at least ten.

We'll see if the RMU A team shows up tonight, and wins their first game at the Chuck.

In addition, RMU needs to step up and knock down free throws (and improve in this area).

Hopefully Still and B. Burke were practing them a ton after their poor performances the last 2 games.

Anyway... Go RMU!!

RMU is a D first team that does not score a ton. To me, that makes FT's even more important, as I think they will continue to play a lot of close games.

If they can improve there, I think they win a lot more games.

Tossing that out the window, RMU by 12 with hopefully a full gym.

Ya lol...

Hopefully there is at least a 1,000 people there with a good deal of students.

Zay Still has to be able to knock down a minimum of 70% of his free throws.

And other guys need to improve some too.

I think RMU can win this one.

Go Bobby Mo!

Positives: Brandon Burke scoring.
Matty and D Burke effort and hustle.

Negatives: Just about everything else. No kavon, not sure what happened with him.

Surprised Lester didn't get a chance without Kavon. Think he only played in the first game.

What a roller coaster team this is.

Get them next time!

Was Kavon on the bench in street clothes? Did he appear to be injured? What's up?

During game they just said violation of team rules. I did not see him on bench, but I also guess I was not actively looking for him.

I do think Shov said that he expected him to be back for next game.

The energy from that game was just so low for 90% of team. Also I do not think Roberto played in 2nd half for some reason

Roberto only played five minutes. And we got killed on the boards by over 20. LIU outrebounded us about 43 to 20.

Shows our lack of effort and maybe that Mantovani should have played his normal 20-25 minutes a game. Maybe he got injured/sick???

Team really needs to bounce back with a win tomorrow against St. FRANCIS BRK.

Kavon will be back and hopefully Isaiah Still (mentally) along with the rest of the team.

Go RMU

Loved this quote from Toole:
"They had more hunger and more desire. I apologize for the way we performed. Guys don't really seem to appreciate this opportunity to be a Division I player, and that's on me. You saw a team that didn't have a personality tonight. I'm just not sure it's important enough for our guys."

I like how he takes responsibility for his team, and that he saw what seemed obvious to me. It looked like 2 or 3 guys actually cared about the game, and the rest gave up and seemed to feel sorry for themselves.

Hopefully Toole can turn that into a learning experience and get the team going in the right direction.

Yea... that quote summed up what most RMU fans thought after that very poor performance yesterday.

Isaiah Still got flustered early and showed his lack of maturity and it seemed to effect most of the team.

Being the leading scorer, many look to Still as a main leader for the team especially with Kavon Stewart out for this one. Still didn't step up to the plate and even let his attitude lead to an LIU blow out win in the end.

The whole team better have a brand new attitude for tomorrow's game to turn the ship around.

Go RMU

PS: Toole even had to play Conrad yesterday due to lack of effort and energy.
