Robert Morris (6-15, 4-4) at Mount St. Mary’s (9-12. 6-2)

Thursday, 7:00 P.M.

TV: CBS Sports Network

As starting PG Kavon Stewart told me, “it’s going to be a whole different ball game” this time around. After getting embarrassed on their home floor just a few games ago by MSM, the Colonials travel to Maryland to try and get that sour taste out of their mouths from the last time they faced the Mount. The Mountaineers are 6-2 in the NEC, which is good enough for first place. However, they are beatable. Bryant and Sacred Heart were both able to come away with victories. Robert Morris defeated Bryant rather easily last Saturday, and the Pionners are struggling. Plus, it’s the NEC, so anything is possible.

B.K. Ashe and Junior Robinson are two big names to know. Ashe has been leading the team in scoring all season long, coming in at 14.2 ppg. Robinson, who reminds me a little bit of Nate Robinson, is a small, but quick and crafty guard who has the potential to change the dynamic of the game.

Additionally, all Colonials fan should be quite familiar with Will Miller. Miller couldn’t miss from beyond the arc when the Mount defeated the Colonials in the NEC Championship game a few years back. Miller also shot well when these two teams matched up a couple weeks ago, so this kid seems to enjoy facing the perennial powerhouse of NEC basketball. He is also a very underrated passer. He will make the extra pass if the Colonials throw the double team at him, or don't rotate properly.

The Colonials were without Rodney Pryor and Andre Frederick the last time these two teams met. Pryor will be playing in his second game back from injury and Frederick, who’s been cleared to play since last Saturday, is expected to give it a go. His size will be crucial down low.

Kavon Stewart will be critical in this game. In the last game, Stewart was the only Colonial to play his tail off from start to finish. He had no help. It was actually quite sad to watch. With a healthy Pryor back, and a soaring Elijah Minnie, Stewart’s game will become that much easier. Stewart is playing at an extremely high level, and coaches and players around the NEC are starting to take notice. He will be circled on the Mount’s scouting report. His handles are already ridiculous, and if his jump shot can stay consistent, he will keep defenders on their toes and they’ll be guessing all night long.

The 2-3 zone has been great the last three games, and the Mount’s ability to shoot the long ball, as well as score inside, will be another tough challenge. But this team is ready. There are big implications with this game as far as standings in the NEC. The Colonials have a chance to make a giant leap. Will they do it? Tune in to CBS Sports Network at 7:00 P.M. to find out.

Good stuff Jay...any update on what's going on with the site???
Same....

Not a good game. Mount got up to much for RMU to come back and went on a 11-2 run to start the second half to basically put the game away.

RMU shot like 1-14 from three which is awful!! And only had like 8 Assits.

Cmon dudes!

Well rebound (hopefully).

3 point shooting:

Walk-on players 1-2
