So after watching the game again on NEC it looked like there were some underneath targets that should have been hit and judging by Conner cutting a lot maybe the passing game was suppose to be bang bang and just not executed.

Non the less the OL was the biggest and most reported on issue. So let's put on our coaching hats and figure this out.

Garbs is out for a few more weeks and none of the freshmen are safe so here's my shot.

LT is Blake-need a boat anchor here it was obvious
LG is Fennell-needs to develop college level punch on pass pro but showed he could move guys on run blocking, had a great reach/seal block for one of the longest runs on Thursday night. Good place to learn next to Blake.
C-IDK. Going to plug Mundy in but may only get one more shot.
RG-I put Ian here and let him work it out he showed he can play. But how long will the knee hold out.
RT-Lamb showed promise at times last year but has to rise up and get out of the dog house he is in from spring ball. Plus he's seen it all already and moves well.

That's my adjustments what say you all?

Or we let them grow add Blake in at LG were he was all camp and pray they develop quickly.

I agree to an extent but would like to see something a little different. It's another non conference game, and can't be worse than the last game so why not try some different rotations?

LT- lamb, experienced and athletic enough to play the blind side
LG- Chambliss, he's a staple at LG
RG- bjuro, thought he was decent and hoping the knee holds up. Maybe he shifts to center when garbs comes back
RT- fennell, saw a lot of positive things out of him Thursday, he got beat a few times but you'll have some growing pains with a freshman. He looked like the best lineman last week. That leaves the center position open.

Why not try eric Mcallister at center? High pedigree, great punch, quick off the snap, strong base, I know he is a little undersized but it's another non conference game. Experiment a little and see what you have before conference play starts, worst case scenario, you throw mundy back in

I think it's gonna be a tough call for coaches. We all know new president is a football guy, and I have no clue what Banny's status is as far as his contract goes or relationship with him and new president.

I think if this was a first year coach, there would be lots of breathing room. Start the young guys on oline and let them develop and take their lumps. I see value in that, although as a fan it can be a struggle sometimes and also can hurt moral and recruiting. Maybe Coach Banny has that leeway, I do not know.

I'll agree with ty that it would beood to see some change, if for nothing else changes sake, but I also will disagree with him on another point. It can get worse, much worse. Against ab d kept them in game, Dayton and ysu are much different animals and the score has the potential to get very ugly.

I hope they win against dayton, but from early returns, that looks like a real stretch. I just want to see tangible improvement from the players and coaches, I can take losing, as long as there is real progress and a visit that winning consistently is in the not to distant future.

Is Mac back thought he was still out. If he's in hell ya give home a shot. Everyone else had on except Everly.

I agree with the Mcallister move to center

LT - Rene
LG- Blake
C- Mundy
RG-- Fennell
RT- Lamb

My guess for the starting 5 up front. Mcallister is not eligible to play this year due to transfer rules

How is McAllister not able to play? He came from Army Prep. I thought he was someone that could play this season.

If I had to guess against Dayton I would think this:
LT - Fennell
LG- Blake
C- ?
RG- Potokar
RT- Lamb

Once I know more about McAllister's situation, I'll give a guess at Center.

I believe there was some issues with grades or Eligibility when he transferred to RMU ??? Would be the only thing keeping him out. Like you said Original he was someone I was looking forward to seeing in action after watching him in highschool.

New to the Board, been reading up as you men have been my link to the day to day activities of the squad all the way back here to MI. Thank you much!! I piggy back this front 5, waiting to see this group improve week to week.

LT - Rene
LG- Blake
C- Mundy
RG-- Fennell
RT- Lamb

He was and I'm changing course I think you guys nailed it.
