Toledo is actually really good. They're 80th in KenPom and were 65th last year. That's a 25-win team from a year ago with a fair amount of experience and good depth.
RMU is actually pretty close to where I thought they'd be so far. I had hoped they'd be 2-3 with a win over Marshall, but I thought it'd be a fairly tough November.
They'll have a better shot against UIC, though still the underdog. Marquette will be really challenging. But then they'll have great chances to pick up wins against Geneva, Cleveland State, YSU, and Central Michigan before wrapping with UNLV.
Difficult schedule no doubt. The lack of scoring is a concern. I expect it'll improve and the record along with it.
The ESPN3 broadcasters yesterday said Cam Wilbon is out for the year with an injury. I hope that's not the case, as I thought he was primed to take a huge leap forward this year.
I heard them say that too and it was news to me. Toole has only gone 8 or 9 deep so you don't know who is able to play.
I heard someone else say that Deshawndre Washington and Cam Wilbon were hurt. Neither has been in uniform. I just didn't know that Wilbon was out for the year.
I believe Olisa Ngonadi isn't quite ready. He's been in uniform. They may try to redshirt him unless he turns it on in practice.
I had heard that Wilbon had a great summer and the coaches were excited about his progress. I also heard that he is out for the season, unfortunately. Deshawndre and Olissa both are talented athletes and have shown flashes in practice but overall are not "quite ready." I also heard that Olissa may be redshirted. I had not noticed him dressed and on the bench and was starting to wonder if he was still with the team, so I was glad to read that Colonialinsider said that "he's been in uniform." I have noticed Deshawndre, along with Cam, in street clothes on the bench.
