@ The Chuck today, RMU won its 4th game of the year and is now 2-4 in the NEC after today's much needed W.

Elijah Minnie led the team in scoring with 17 pts and also had 5 rebounds and 3 nice blocks.

Kavon Stewart also played well. He had 12 pts and 10 assists for a double double (his first of the year) and had 4 steals as well.

The surprise and an easy "player of the game" goes to the Walk-on Conrad Stephens. He played a career high in minutes (21) had a career high pts (13) and rebounds (6). He also shot a perfect 6-6 from the field and went 1-2 @ the free throw line. He truly sparked the team and was the deciding factor in the game.

All in all, & most importantly, RMU won and has Central Connecticut State up next.

Go RMU...

PS: very proud of the 7 players that played today & the effort they showed. #finally #4thwinofyear

Yes, this team, and the fans, needed something to celebrate. Congrats to the team and the coaches, especially Conrad. Got to love it!

Although the other walk-ons did not get on the floor last evening, seeing what Conrad accomplished has to give them a boost as well.

LOL, I am glad Kavon took my advise and looked for Matty more last evening. Unfortunately, Matty responded with 2-10 shooting, 1-7 from 3s. Actually, that makes this win even more amazing. With Rodney out, and Matty having such an off night, this team still did what was needed to pull out the win.

I suspect Matty's earlier shoulder injury is still affecting his shooting.

Very impressive game by Elijah. He can be a dominant player in the NEC. He just needs to be more consistent.

Kavon with 10 assists also impressive.

When a team's point guard has a lot of assists, good things are usually happening with that team, most notably - Wins!

Huge win. Maybe it's the spark needed to gain some momentum. A very winnable game at CCSU thursday. Lets hope Rodney and others come back healthy.

Yea... Would be nice to get Rodney & Company back soon, but even without him they should be able to beat Central Connecticut State.

Would be a good warm up game for Rodney before taking on Bryant on Saturday.

Beating Central is a game RMU really must win to give them positive energy & some momentum to the rest of the season. Plus, CCSU only has 1 win all year....

Let's Go RMU...
