Sounded like Brumbaugh and Carroll walked from the broadcast. So that leaves Barr, Bodeman, and R-Chak. Have not seen any thing recent on twitter etc about any other QBs committing.

I am going to guess that Barr and Bodeman will both get medical red shirts. So if that is the case, would made Barr a RS soph, and Bodeman a RS fresh. R-Chak will also be a RS Soph. I think we all know that will not be enough.

I think the best situation would be, 1 or 2 JUCOs and 2 freshman. Also, with the way QB's transfer so often, perhaps there will be an opportunity to get a QB dropping to FCS who could play immediately. Ideally, if they could get a JUCO/Transfer that can come in for Spring semester so they can work with Miller etc.

Final ramble: I am not a fan of the Wildcat, but the was the best the O has really moved in weeks. I am sure there is a reason Trey Edwards was not used as the "QB" in wildcat, but per his bio, he did pass for over 1100 yards while rushing for more than 700 yards his senior year in HS (what a catch he made against Wagner).

THIS IS THE FINAL RAMBLE: I know I am just banging a drum for no reason, but I really hope they will get a dedicated QB coach.

There has to be a JuCo QB out there that would be a fit for this offense. A FCS QB would work as well. I'm not overly sold on Barr and Chase could use another year especially since he has a RS coming. I would say a JuCo in for the next two years that can take advantage of the talent here now and then hand it over to Chase for two.

Problem is if Chase doesn't get the job would he stay for two more, wait and learn.

I hope Mcallister is everything some of us hope for. Army isn't for everyone I get that but to leave an opportunity like that puts up a red flag for me. I don't know the story and maybe someday I will and that will help me understand better, but being the go to guy in the middle takes a lot of work and studying. I hope he is using his time wisely from not playing all season and understanding the playbook inside and out. It should be an exciting spring ball for the OL.
I hope we can build continuity and chemistry early in spring ball and carry it over to camp. I do believe that was a part of the issues with the instability and inconsistency that resulted in a lot of over thinking and under performing.

The D Should be exciting again with just a few questions at DEs that should have quick answers with new blood and Stanford and others returning.

Bring on the spring!!!

@Colonial_Fanatic i loved how you did the returnees at each position and the offers currently out for recruits at those positions. Can you do an analysis of what you think the depth chart will be going into spring ball?

It will be interesting to get opinions on where players can fit in 2017. Who is returning from injuries and how they fit with the youth?
But again the concern heading into 2017 is the depth of the team. Defensively I think they should be OK but little depth along the OL and now at QB.

I have faith in Barr, and I also believe Chase will be really good when his time comes. I saw enough of barr last season to know he was much better than what we witnessed this season. With that being said, there needs to be some depth added at the QB position. And not just guys that are moved there, I mean QUALITY depth. We were truly only one deep maybe 2 at the qb position. We all saw how deep we had to reach down the roster this season. I also wonder if r-Chak will stay at qb as a backup or if he will move back to safety. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he was the backup at safety. Him and Jonah, so had he stayed healthy all season and never moved to offense, he would've been out there Saturday playing safety along side jonah

I guess I am of the opinion that Barr and Bodeman could both be good. I am not sold on either, and wouldn't be until either can be really consistent.

Bodemans high school seems good to me, but I am not a QB expert by any means.
