Not sure if you guys would be into this, but if you see somewhere a new offer we can put them here. Also, love the comments on their tape.

2017 (@ASA_Recruiting ) JUCO OL @itsnoureddinee was just offered by Robert Morris HL http://www.hudl.com/video/3/2846347/5721d28be984d413d41b50c4…

I am guessing its RMU, not the one chicago.

EDIT TO ADD: Has offer from Charlotte, so getting some FBS looks at least. I am just happy to see an offer to JUCO player. Do not recall seeing that in awhile.

  • 6'6" 315lbs
  • Big body/great size
  • Weak with stepping with inside foot on down blocks.
  • Good pass sets but does allow the DE to get into his body.
  • Tight 2 point stance, needs to learn how to use his size.
Would be an excellent add to the OL. Could be seen at a RT for RMU. It see progresses well in camp could make a play for RT and perhaps move Fennel to LT.

  • Tough young man that attempts to finish his blocks.
  • Does tend to hit then brings his hips after, needs to work on that.
  • Will push for backup C and perhaps push either Mundy or McAllister

Sheldons tape looks a lot like the mold of last years recruiting class. Plays with an edge and likes to finish his run blocking.

It's fire off, contact, pause, gather then drive when he run blocks will need to put that all in one movement...to gain movement.
He obviously out muscles his opponents, footwork is a bit off his feet are close together when trying to drive block. He will have to change that because college guys will toss him aside.

A bit stiff in the hips on pass pro with little knee bend but all coachable things.
Doesn't have much of a punch because he is stronger than everyone he has a lot of head play. This can haunt him if he couldn't break the habit. But it's coachable.
By year end Richardson had a lot of guys with head play early on separating and locking out on pass pro.

He has good size and athletic with a mean streak on his tape. As we all know the playbook has killed many a good football player. So tape looks like he could be an asset to the team now he just has to digest the playbook.

6'2" 250lbs

  • 1st play what a great trap block but pull left, hit left. He took on that DE head on. But that can be corrected.
  • When jumping to the next level, doesn't run through the L and high.
  • Enjoys finishing his blocks.
  • Does play high
  • During 'Team' blocks, does not come off to the LB. That is probably something not taught at his HS.
  • Reminds me a bit of Josh Thiel when watching his highlight tape.
  • Only 250lbs, needs to add weight, could use a RS year to add weight.

Adam Sedzmak
6'5" 300lbs
  • Footwork is lacking a bit
  • Another mean OL that likes to finish his block.
  • Does play high
  • Does not get drive off the LOS. He is raw.
  • He will need to improve his footwork if going to slated for a T in 2017.

Obviously not a new offer but I know some of us are excited to watch Eric McAllister next fall. Here are the highlights from his senior season at central catholic

Excited to say that I have received my 5th offer from Robert Morris University!!! @DrewRich50 @WPAFootball @AJWPIAL @wpialsportsnews

Seems like the QB offers are for Duel Threat guys, or guys at very least are very comfortable getting out of pocket and running.

Letsgoromo, I think you're starting to see that change everywhere. The pocket passing quarterback is starting to disappear especially from the college game. Look at the top 10 teams in the NCAA and the majority are dual threat quarterbacks

Yes you are right Ty. I am fine with it, just thought with Miller and his background he might be looking for more of the pocket passer. I guess also, I think of the days of yesteryear with Levy, etc at QB and the success RMU/C had then.

I think that Nunez looks like he can play. Seems to hit the mid range routes, can keep plays going with his legs, and keeps his eyes downfield scanning. This he would be a good addition to team. On his twitter he has a Western Illinois offer also, not sure who else has been after him.

I think this day in age the ability to have some sort of production out of the QB run game is a must. That extra ability really makes the defense have to scheme for it and opens up a lot of possibilities. I like the offer to the Nunez but would also like to see more go out to the JUCO Qb's

They seem to be offering more offensive lineman than anything. Is that a sign of some guys not returning next year? Or expected losses?

It would make sense that some of the older guys might not come back since it was a lot of younger guys playing. Or maybe some of the older guys switching to D.

Need to really build that position up. Maybe coaches think they are pretty solid in a lot of places for the foreseeable future and just want to load up there. I would imagine some of the offers are reaches though, similar to what they appear to be doing at RB.

I agrwe, however I don't think there's a single position on the offense that you can say doesn't need built up

Unless some of the guys that can really break down oline see something I don't, but I am not sold. Not sure where the #1 center in MD comes from other than his twitter proclamation.

One of the best breakdown bullet point summaries position by position and college division by division BCS,FCS and.... Is from GoBigRecruiting here is what they say for High Level FCS linemen..and again it's not the holy grail just a summary.

Non-BCS and/or High FCS Offensive Line
Physical Measurables:
  • Height: 6'3"
  • Weight: 270 lbs.
Stats:
  • 40yd: 5.2
  • Bench: 305 lbs.
  • Squat: 425 lbs.
Coach Keys:
May have not shown the consistent dominance of an elite BCS caliber recruit, but coaches at this level will still scholarship athletic high school offensive linemen as they believe they can develop them with a redshirt year and a good strength and conditioning program. Flashes the ability to dominate the LOS and knock HS players on the ground. Can get to the second level regularly. Flashes the ability to move the line of scrimmage. Flashes the ability to finish blocks. Displays good balance, rarely on the ground. Plays with great pad level by demonstrating good knee bend. Plays with a good natural wide base. Shows the ability to pass set, slide and mirror. Can hit moving targets downfield. All Area/District type player. Typically a multiple-time All Conference selection.

I don't remember rmu going after this many juco in recent years, I think that's excellent they are finally offering those guys

Ty, agreed on both accounts. I remember a few JUCOS years ago, but I do not recall any in recent memory. Glad to see they are making the effort. I really hope that QB from Iowa signs on, think he is a dec/jan transfer so we should know fairly soon on him.

On a different note, that TE from Grove City was offered by Bowling Green, and a preferred walk-on at Ohio State. Unless the rules have changed, I do not think FBS teams can offer partial scholarships. They have to be full scholarships.

As LetsGoRoMo and Original_RMC will remember, Joe Walton would bring in a few JUCOs to fill in areas of need, especially in the early years. One of the program's all-time greats, the late Tim Hall, was a JUCO who played running back in the first two years of RMU football. Of course, he had the benefit of Original_RMC blocking for him!

I was surprised that the staff did not bring in a JUCO O-lineman or two last year. You don't want to build your program with JUCO's, but I think it is a wise approach to fill in areas of need.

I looked up signing date for JUCO 2nd semester JUCO guys, appears to be Dec 14. Just a date to keep an eye on for some of the JUCO offers.

I think we have 3 out there now
1 - OL = Seems to be a stud, and is a December grad.
1 - TE = Jake, CA kid. Looks like a great all around TE, blocks well. Not sure if he is a Dec grad.
1 - QB = CA kid at Iowa JUCO. Again, think he would help a ton, he is a Dec grad.

I'm curious as to how many more guys they will offer, if any. They aren't losing a ton of scholarship players and already have 5-6 commits so the numbers have to add up

HUDL:

He looked great to me, but I do not have the eye that some of you do. First full ride offer, did not see if he is a December transfer or not. I think it was on Scout where there was quite a bit of interest on him from FBS teams, apparently not offers from them as of yet. Would be great if we could lock up one of these JUCO guys and then add a freshman as well.

Although he is at a juco in California, he went to high school in Columbus, Ohio. This would be like coming home for him.
Enough debate, let him know that he will be registered for the spring semester and we look forward to seeing him on campus and in spring drills. Next season is going to be one of the great turn around seasons in college football history. Go Colonials!
