Robert Morris will be rolling out new Nike football uniforms prior to the 2014 season. The official team Twitter account actually confirmed it late Friday night.
RMU had gone with Wilson uniforms for at least the last decade, if not longer. But John Banaszak told ColonialsCorner back in December that he would explore a uniform deal if it made sense for the program and they could get something that worked in their favor in terms of gear and other items.
Apparently it worked out.
Money or other arrangements aside, it's no surprise that they'll go with Nike. Robert Morris' basketball program is a Nike program, with new uniforms rolling out recently and practice gear being refreshed every so often.
