So, it has been awfully quiet on this forum. What does everyone think about this upcoming game?
Seems to be a very important game if the Colonials hope to have a respectable season. Hopefully, after having a week off, injured players have had a chance to heal. Hopefully, at this point, the players are comfortable with Coach Clark's systems and culture. It would seem to be an opportune time for the team to pull it all together in front of a homecoming crowd and gain some momentum for the rest of the season, and for the Coach Clark era. Go Colonials!

What I am hoping for most is the D playing as a unit and attacking the ball. Just flying to it. Per last thing I saw from Coach Clark on Twitter, they seem like they keep trying to simplify the D to make it easier for the guys.

That is fine, but I want to see the heart and love of playing football. I know they are not super deep at certain positions on D, I think throighthrthe roster there is enough talent to be competitive on D and win some games. I am not sure where it came up, but the idea of Barr playing LB does not seem completely crazy to me. He is a big athlete and seems competitive as hell.

For the O, just building off a great game against Bryant. You know CCSU is going to ready for the counter. I'd liked to see some play action out of the double TE looks, maybe to Petrick.

Not sure if they will win, but I just hope they play their hearts out and fly around. Football is supposed to be fun, and winning is fun.

Really interested to see how they look having the week off.

Not sure what to make of CCSU. They're obviously the defending NEC champs, but their schedule this year makes them tough to evaluate.

They lost 42-6 to Ball State, but Ball State is a mid-tier MAC team at best. James Madison might be better.

CCSU beat Lincoln (Pa) 55-0. Lincoln is a Division 2 team that has lost 23 straight games.

They lost to Columbia, which was a good team last year and is 2-1 so far this year. Then CCSU beat Fordham, which is winless.

From a statistical standpoint, CCSU's offense isn't much different than RMU's. RMU is rushing for 136 yards per game, CCSU is at 144. CCSU is passing for 206 yards per game, RMU is at 198. Difference is CCSU hasn't turned the ball over much.

Prior to the season, I thought CCSU and Duquesne would be the toughest games, but I think this might be more winnable than we thought, especially with the game at home.
