Big game today, I think it would do a lot to build confidence get the season back on track after a couple tight losses.

My off the wall prediction for the day: Billy Giles will have a double double. 14 pts 10 boards.

RMU's owned Duquesne for a while winning the last 5 of 6 meetings with the loss of that coming on the Dukes home floor last year.

Duquesne just beat Pitt about a week ago at PPG arena (where the is being held tonight).

Duquesne's team isn't great but they really aren't as bad as the Pitt people want to call them. (Should Pitt lose to them? No... but upsets happen in college hoops).

They have some new transfers in and our most likely going thru an early season struggle right now...like RMU.

The A-10 is probably (haha) too strong of a conference for them so I'm not making any predictions, but they would be at least an upper tier low major team.

(Whether they improve and do decent this year I have no idea tho lol).

A win tonight would be big for RMU as we can say we won the City. Hey!

Let's get it done boys...

Play hard...ball hard and pull out a W!!!

Let's Go Bobby Mo!

I will preface this will I think Toole is a great coach. But... why is D Burke not playing at the end of the game when they need a stop. He is a stud defender.

Edit: WHAT A WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great win! Congrats to the players and coaches!!!

RMU pulls it out!!

Isaiah Still played great and had a clutch shot to pull ahead by 1 which proved out to be the game winner. After making this, he blocked a shot on the Dukes which helped save the game as well.

Then the rookie of the game Clive Allen knocked down 4 CLUTCH free throws to close out the game.

Great win tonight!

We beat Duquesne...

#1 in the Burgh

Go RMU...

This year's team has some limitations on offense, specifically with outside shooting. The team now seems to be finding ways to score. I have really been impressed with Kavon, lately. He is reminding me more and more of Velton, and as Colonials' fans, we know that is a very high complement. Also, cannot say enough good things about Isaish. Also, got to love the way Clive is playing and contributing like an upperclassman. I have faith that Matty is going to start connecting on his shots, and when that happens the Colonials are going to be a much more effective offense.

Another good nonconference challenge this Saturday. Oakland is a good team. Let' Pack the Chuck, baby!!!

Agree. Clive looks really good. He is poised on offense, and makes plays on both ends of the court. Not that Andy has ever had issues finding talent, but it looks like he's found a few gems in Allen and Dachon Burke, and I think Braden could be very good if he continues to develop and work on his game.

Ya... I agree that Allen and Burke look to be very promising players down the road and are playing pretty well already.

Allen, out of the Bronx, had a decent amount of offers including Temple so congrats to Toole for recruiting him in to RMU.
Clive had a really nice alley opp to Billy Giles last night and also 3 blocks! Very impressive for a guy who's only 6ft tall.

Dachon Burke was also a good signing and a later one (kind of replacing Steve Whitely from last year who transferred). Having a year of prep school after high school probably help him develop more, but still he's super athletic player with lots of speed and looks kinda like Rodney Pryor lol. If he develops into a Rodney Pryor, or someone close, would be fantastic!

As to Braden Burke, I'm thinking he'll start to adjust to D-1 ball better a little into NEC play.
Then for next year, hitting the gym to put on 5-10 lbs would be good as well. He has a lot of upside and can develop to even be a 3 point shooter eventually. Might not happy till his sophomore year tho we'll see...

Go RMU!
