RMU currently has three new players commited to play in the 2016-17 basketball season. The 3 players are:

- Lorenzen Wright Jr. (6-3 SG) (Son of a former NBA center)

- David Cole (6-7, 230 lb PF) out of NYC.

-Braden Burke (6-10 Center) Out of Michigan.

Jay Frank or Tony R, etc... Anybody know if they all have signed their NL of intent??

I know that Braden Burke has but don't know about the other 2.

Also, any info about other potential recruits/ visits would be great as well.

Go RMU

I haven't heard whether or not David Cole or Lorenzen Wright Jr. have signed yet either but Braden Burke has. As for potential recruits, there's a list here http://www.verbalcommits.com/schools/robert-morris but I haven't heard much regarding visits but I'll keep an eye out for anything and post anything I hear in the forum

Thanks for the reply,

I think that if Lorenzen Wright does come and play, that there's a decent chance he could start in place of Pryor next year.

Also, Burke should get some decent minutes. I watched some of his highlights and he can shoot the long shot (3s included) and can go to the rim fast (unlike Bennett). He also has good moves around the rim and can hit floaters. Really good recruit for RMU. Chance he could start just based off his size alone as he is 6-11.

I check verbalcommits fairly often to see how RMU's doing recruiting wise.

David Cole is supposed to be good too.
Wish he was an inch or two taller, but he's at least a big 6-7 (230 lbs).

Hope we can get another good recruit.
Any idea at what position they want for the last spot??

I'm not sure if Wright would start next year because if no one leaves, I'd imagine the starting 5 would be Kavon, McConnell, Still, Minnie, Giles. But I do think he'll get good minutes. He's currently averaging 10.6 points per game but only shooting 32.8 percent at Southwest Tennessee CC through 11 games this year.

As for Burke, I do like what I've seen from him in highlight videos too. Nice jumper and has a little bit of a post game and at 6-11 will be one of the tallest guys in the NEC.

I also like David Cole. 6-7 230 is a good size for an NEC forward. I'm interested to see how he looks next year.

As for a position they want, I'm not sure exactly what they want but I personally think they'll go for another wing or point guard. They're pretty good on bigs now with Giles, Minnie, Frederick, Hugley and Burke and Cole coming in. They could use some depth on the wing and you can't have too many ball handlers.

True, McConnell and Still would probably start over Wright. I did see that Wright had like 24 points during a game maybe a week ago. Burke is currently 6-11 and 225 lbs... Would be nice if he could put on 10-15 (20) lbs before the start of next season. Although, staying at his current weight let's him be quicker... But, nevertheless, putting on at least 10 lbs would be good tho.

Have you see the video for Fabio Sohnel ?

There's a link to him and it has a video for him. He is from Europe some where (Autria maybe) and has a nice stroke in the work out video above. Check it out if u haven't yet...

Just watched that video of Fabio Sohnel. He does have a nice looking shooting stroke and at 6'4", would be a nice sized guard/wing in the NEC. Also, it says he is from Austria but currently goes to The Kiski School, which is a private, all-male boarding school just a little east of Pittsburgh and has a few alumni that currently play Division I basketball including Tanveer Bhullar (the 7-3 guy from New Mexico State and his older brother Sim Bhullar, who is currently in the NBA D-League and was on the Sacramento Kings roster for a little bit this season, played there for part of their high school careers.

Yea. I like the Fabio dude. Also, check on Shawn Montague on verbal commits for RMU. (http://www.verbalcommits.com)
He has one major school offer in Seton Hall (but we all know they're not the best). The kid does have tons of interest listed below the offers and has a lot of high majors interested.

Sounds like he would be good.

Going to the game tomorrow, really hope RMU can get a win!!!

The Shawn Montague kid looks pretty good. I just watched some highlight videos on his Hudl page (http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3545516/shawn-montague). Has a nice shot and looks really athletic. He does look to be drawing some high major interest so I don't know about RMU's chance at getting him.

Also, I talked to some people around the program and they said that there hasn't been any recruit visits or anything lately.

We could use a good recruit like him. Can drive well and shoot well.

Thanks for checking with people...
