It has been quiet this week. I guess not much news this week outside of Andy is back or not.
It will be a good crowd today at Homecoming. I think we see an offense taking a big step forward today.
I would Ike to see a #1 WR for RMU to get 6-8 targets today. If our #1 is Vecchio then let's get him more touches.

Jimmy Walker came out guns blazing. Those two passes on the first drive were NFLesque (so were the grabs). Brandon Magee had his coming out party. We need to limit all those shots Jimmy took.

Agreed. The biggest issue was the shots Jimmy took. Seemed like when he had time he really showed how good he can be. Really impressed with his decision making.
The rbs seemed to miss a fair number of blocks and that led to some of the abuse for walker.
D looked really good. How great was it to see Andy back out there flying around, what a game he had. Ferguson continues to impress, also thought lamica had a nice game. A lot of their success is built by solid dline play, Stanford stood out to me doing lots of dirty work.
Only recall the one long play they had, think a 40 yard pass that their wr make a heck of a catch, think it was Richards who was all over him, just a good play by VMI.
Overall just a pretty darn good game. Next week is going to tough obviously, but hopefully the guys play hard, show some positives, get out with no injuries.

Things are definitely looking up. We just need to survive the game against NDSU. Then it would be great if we can get a win against E. Tennesee to finish with a winning record in the out of conference part of the schedule, although, E. Tennesee will pose a challenge. After that, what a way to start the NEC, with an evening game at the Joe against rival Duquesne. No matter what happens, this team is giving us more to cheer about than any RMU team has in quite a while. All of those freshmen on the offensive line should only get better as the season goes along. Go Colonials!
I know it is in the distance, but ETSU will be a great test also. Agreed there is reason for optimism for sure in NEC.
