Unofficial Arena Update

So I know the big news was that RMU is getting a new arena on campus.
I heard this week that due to lack of funding, the plan has changed.

Now, Sewall Center will get a face lift. RMU will build an auxiliary gym (1,000 seats) off the East End of Sewall Center.
Apparently the Men's and Women's team will play for one year in this temporary gym while Sewall Center is gutted and rebuilt inside.
Apparently there will be two levels of seating with at least 2,000 seats on each side and sounds like they will make Sewall Center into more of a bowl seating arena instead of the bleachers on each side.

Is there an estimate as to when the new Sewall Center will be open?

I did not hear dates but there was aggressive talk that they could break down this May to start on the auxiliary gym. If this is the case then I could a timeline like this:
2016/2017 -> Basketball Remains in Sewall Center.
Auxiliary Gym construction starts in May 2016 and completes in 1 year (just really guessing on how long it would take)
2017/2018 -> Basketball moved to auxiliary gym.
2017/2018 -> Sewall Center Worked on
2018/2019 -> Basketball back at the new Sewall Center

Kind of sad they couldn't get enough money, but the Sewell center is a good enough structure to go off of and it should look pretty nice when done.

Will the one year in the small gym affect recruiting? And what does RMU do with the bigger games they have with only being able to hold 1,000 people? Will there by any games at another gym (Consol, etc...) ?????

Rumor also has it that a new indoor facility/ student rec facility is in the works with what Oringial RMC is talking about. For what it's worth
