I am hopeful that the win yesterday was a turning point, not only for this season but for the program.
It certainly was a good road win, that required a long bus ride against a Southern Conference opponent. After the Kentucky State loss, I was wondering if this program would ever turnaround. Now, looking back, with just a few fewer turnovers, the Colonials would be 3-1 instead of 1-3. Obviously, Youngstown is a high-quality opponent, hopefully, RMU can make a respectable showing and then be ready to be competitive in the NEC. Hopefully, in a couple of years, we can look back and see that this past Saturday was when the RMU football program became a winning program again.

The play calling on O has been for the most part very good. Lots of wide open receivers and the online has done well.

Need more pressure on D but secondary has played well, 5 in particular.

They have a punchers chance against ysu. Need to be mistake free and get a couple turnovers.

They are already a winning program (IMO). The offense is moving ball and scoring both run and pass. Special teams has been solid and mistake free. The defense has made huge strides since last year and even week 2. Coaching is starting to call plays to win, not just to survive.

Now that they’ve got that first one, hopefully they will want more.

What I’m saying is... in spite of score... they are winning most battles. Winning is winning.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking this team should be 3 - 1. There's a fire and passion with this team. The OLine is really standing up, the D secondary are really balling! I felt the switch to Caleb was the best move, and the RBs are outstanding!! When's the last time we've seen WRs flying open as much as they are now? YSU can really show us where we are going into league play... Going to be a long day... 6pm kick, but I'm there!!! Go BobbiMo!!

YSU will be tough if we allow it. They have a big oline and will attempt to come out in I formation and run it down our throat.

I've said on here since Coach Clark was hired that the base 4-3 D he and Coach Plungas run takes time to develop and the reason for that is there are no gimmicks. Some teams blitz every play and usually when you are out-manned you are forced into that approach but it does very little when it comes to facing good teams. We are going to sit in 4-3 with quarters coverage and play to win. Once we develop players and get to that point they will be impressive. It is just tough to get there. Mason Gray has been a Godsend but as mentioned previously we need to continue to develop talent as to OUR way of playing football.

Agreed. I think the defensive line has taken a step in the right direction, but could use more pressure from the outside (Harris has been solid, if unspectacular). Buzzacco has been good at outside linebacker, but they could use more dynamic players at the other spots. Gray has been awesome at safety and White shows promise, but he's just a redshirt freshman. The corners are okay, but not real playmakers (Price is the closest, but he's not a ballhawk).

It's a step forward with some growth still needed. I think the improvement will be more noticeable in NEC play.
