Picked 6th by coaches.

Do not know a lot about B-ball, and know they had a tough season last year. If I were a betting man, I would put a lot of money on them ending up better than 6th though. Toole has been a hell of a coach and I doubt he will have taken last years record lightly. I bet he has done everything in his power to get his boys ready to roll.

Yea I agree with you that 6th is low for this team. Toole has gotta be more fired up than ever to right the ship and has to have been preparing his players hard all summer.

I think with the new additions at the guard and forward positions RMU could easily be a top 3 team. Obviously, things need to fall into place correctly but in the weak NEC RMU has a chance to be pretty good.

We'll see tho...

Go Bobby Mo

It still amazes me that Toole has been at RMU for seven years. Guys like him are usually in and out at RMU in three or four years. I hope he hasn't exceeded his 'sell by' date by staying at a program like RMU which is normally considered a stepping stone.

He's in a good situation making pretty good money with a young family who likes living in Pgh so he's in no rush to move.

He brought in 2 quality assistant (just this year) coaches that could (possibly) take over if/when he leaves.

Also, If he rights the ship this year and gets the program moving up to its potential, he'll be seeing the type of job offers he would want to move on from Bobby Mo.

RMU is grateful to still have Toole and treats him well so overall he seems to like his job now.

Go RMU. Tip off on November 11th!

Also, anyone know if RMU is scrimmaging or playing any exhibition game this year? Thx...

I actually thought that Coach would be gone after RMU beat Kentucky. I'm sure he had some serious offers after such a win.

I heard they are scrimmaging NJIT tomorrow morning and Kent State sometime soon, I don't remember when exactly. I believe both are closed to the public, though.

Also, they do not have their usually exhibition game against a D-II team this year.
