Let's hope Matty plays and our young team gets back to what made them successful. Come on down to the last regular season game of the year at PPG and cheer the Colonials.

We're going to find out whether this team can play with some desperation in the final six games of the regular season.

Three weeks to either secure a high seed or potentially be at risk of having to face one of the top teams in the league in the first round.

They played much better than Thursday (not hard to do when the other team had a 27-0 run), and showed some intensity in spurts. Koby must have had a 3 point gag order. Good to see him and others drive first, though they may have gone to the other extreme. The Colonials shot well down the stretch but FDU responded well. Too many unforced errors and offensive rebounds did them in.

Sucks real bad to lose 3 in a row now!
We improved from Thursday (we were sooo bad then tho) but we're still lost on offense at times.

Should not lose to FDU at home!

Over, the 4 game home stand, lost 3!

Gotta fix our problems ASAP or this promising season could become a dud.

We just don't have a big man that we can count on to score inside and rebound. Too bad we lost Malik to health issues, he could have been very effective against NEC opponents. We also do not have any consistent outside shooters. We have plenty of guys that are willing to put up threes but none that you can count on making a high percentage. Considering that we have limited scoring inside and not consistent shooting from the outside and we are playing mostly freshmen It is not surprising that the NEC opponents have figured out how to defend us. The coaches brought in two graduate transfers and two JUCO transfers. It seemed reasonable to expect that they would contribute more than the freshman this year. Then Xavier Williams had a car accident before the season and is out, Tavon Ashmeade apparently just did not pan out and appears to be gone from the team, and then Malik had a health issue that has left him out of action since December.

I am not all doom and gloom, this team does have talent and was winning games prior to this skid. If they want it, they can compete and beat anyone in the Conference. As usual, there is not that much difference among the teams in the NEC, it often comes down to who wants it the most.

I think that's why Toole has harped on defense so much. This team's offense has promise but is far too inconsistent. They win games by being sharp defensively, and at no point on this homestand were they all that sharp.

Matty and Dachon need to lead the charge here. It's a lot to ask of a junior and sophomore, but the message needs to come from them, not just Toole.

Without looking at stats, and as obvious as it sounds, when they are hitting threes at a good clip they win, when, they don't. They toss them whether or not they are falling or not. Need to get them at a good %.

Losing petteway was a HUGE loss. Can't quantify how big.

Whether shooting 2s or 3s, you better make your share of them, and we've been missing a lot of open looks. Losing Petteway has hurt. In about the first 3 or 4 minutes on Saturday, Toole yanked Ronnie, then Cole, and Bain, and started over again by going back to his starter. Bain is not suited for the middle but they've had to use him there with the two injuries to bigs. I think a PF, or C if they can find one, is their recruiting need. By the way, Bain had a really nice game and looks good for a freshman.

Lack of another BIG man other than Gombe has really hurt.

Also, if the threes are falling, everything goes good...including energy, poise, & defense. When they're not fallin, RMU becomes quickly demoralized. Probably a lot of it is because they're young but they did win 6 of 7 this year.

Really gotta rebound starting Thursday @ SFBK!
