To the surprise of no one, freshman guard Marcquise Reed was selected as the Choice Hotels NEC freshman of the week. Reed had a phenomenal week, averaging 17.0 points, including 24 at #6 UNC on 10-15 shooting. reed eclipsed the RMU freshman record for most points by a freshman in their first road game. The previous record was held by RMU guard Myron Walker (1990-94), who put up 22 in a game at Dayton.
Walker is the third all-time leading scorer at Robert Morris.

This is excellent on so many different levels. I almost wrote a feature story about all the great things about this tweet. This weekend we learned that Kinsey can play some ball (five points on 2-4 shooting at UNC) and loves pizza rolls. Tip of the hat for Kinsey who gets tweet of the year before the season really started.
