Chris Capella expressed it best, "There it is. Not surprising given the way the season played out for him but still disappointing."

I had a feeling ever since RMU got the DJ Russell commitment, since he and Koby are similar players.

Shame it didn't work out. Sounds like a change of scenery could be the best thing for him.

In the first game of his freshman year, Koby had 22 points and 6 rebounds against Ohio State. I immediately thought that he would be transferring to a Power 5 conference school after his freshman year. When he stayed for his sophomore year, I thought he would be a dominant player for the Colonials. I don't know what went wrong this year, seems to have been multiple issues. I am sorry to hear that he lost several close friends, that would be hard to deal with. Koby seems to be a likable young man, and obviously a tremendously talented athlete. I hope he makes a move that works out well for him. I wish him nothing but the best.

Agree with your comments. I've never seen a player so far in the dog house but stick with it and get back on the court. Classy and mature comments on the way out the door too. I think he'll be just fine wherever he goes and whatever he does. He had to have the highest percentage of drunks I've ever seen. Good luck Koby.

I wish Koby the best. For whatever reasons things just did not work out for him at RMU this past season. Koby has outstanding talent and he seems to be a very likable guy. I hope all goes well for him in his life and he has a couple of great years at Coppin and then a good pro career, or whatever he chooses to do.

I agree. With the way he came back and got minutes at the end of the year I presume he isn't a hot head. He is definitely gifted with great physical abilities.
