RMU's men's basketball team is in search for its second win of the season tonight at the chuck @ 7pm.
Be there or see it on NEC Front Row.

3 keys to victory...

1. Start shooting better from distance

In RMU's last game RMU's better 3 point shooters (Minnie & Pryor) shot a combined 2-13 from 3! Minnie takes most of the blame for this going 1-9 himself. If he makes a couple more, they probably would have beat Columbia. Toole can talk about effort all he wants, BUT if the shots don't fall (at at least a decent percentage) you will lose.

2. Let's get Matty Going

The hometown prolific scorer (and preseason some-what-of-a-replacement for Reed) is only averaging 5.6 or so PPG. I want to see him taking more shots and teammates finding him at the 3 point line. He's can be a streaky shooter, get him going, and watch out... He can be a help for this team getting their 3 point % up. (They are currently shooting under 30 % from trey which is very uncharacteristic for an RMU team.)

3. Lastly, Kavon- let's dish and attack

Hoping Stewart can drive the ball and get their (Lehigh's) bigs in foul trouble, especially their 6-10 Patriot league first team (and maybe POY?) big man. Would be nice if Stewart had a least 4-5 assists and commits Hardly any (if any) TO's.

Remember, game @ 7 tonight.

Go Bobby Mo!

My preview is up! I usually wait to post them just not too long before game time, so the opposing players are fresh in everyone's mind! And nice keys to the game. I agree on Matty and Kavon. I don't necessarily think they need to force the 3 ball, but over the last couple of seasons, the colonials have thrived and been at their best when spreading and spacing the floor (which obviously means shooting the 3 ball). I want more shots from Matty and Isaiah still needs to get back on track. He is at his best when he drives to the basket, I think he's kind of fallen in love with the 3 ball a little too much! I'm expecting a win tonight- Go Bobby Mo

With this club... Who knows.. But it sounds like people are getting more serious (Pryor calling out Frederick for not brining it in practice).

Let's get the W!!!

Note: Kavon Stewart making shots! And he has 9 points at the half!

Pryor has 8 points at the half also.

RMU is up 2 with the second half soon to start.

Go RMU

FYI- on video (NEC front row) I think I saw a Nelly Cummings sighting. He is a PG at Lincoln Park and is a very good player.

He was walking behind (pretty sure it was him) the Lehigh bench.

Hope he can come to RMU

Chris Cappella, Tony R, Jason, etc...
Anyone else see this/him?

Not sure if he was at the game, but I do know RMU did offer him a few weeks back. He is drawing some interest from high major programs so I'm not sure of RMU's chance of getting him. He was First Team All-State last year.

If I get time to, maybe I'll check the Online Video on it. He would be a very good get tho if he wants to play locally and for a team he can get big minutes at. If he came to RMU, he wouldn't have Kavon on the team and could get a lot of minutes (if not start) his freshman season. We will see...

RMU got a win... Which is definitely needed. Glad to see Matty shooting the ball and making it. 3-7 from 3 is good.

Rodney put up 20 pts with 5 assists and 6 rebounds. Good game from him although he did have 5 TO's.

This win gives some Momentum for RMU heading into Saturday's game @ Duquesne.

Go RMU...
