Today RMU and FDU will honor the military by wearing camo jerseys for "hoops & troops". Also, the first 1,200 fans get a camo RMU t-shirt!
Game Notes:
It is still up on the air if RMU will get any more of the scholarship players back for this game today (that were out Thursday vs the Mount). The players that were out were Rodney Pryor, Andre Frederick, & Jordan Lester).
Against the Mount, RMU was missing their BIGGEST PLAYER & their hands down BEST PLAYER. The mount has size and Frederick could have been used in this game. Also, RMU was out of the game at halftime as they only scored 13 pts!! Pryor would have scored points and took pressure from defenders to open up his teammates.
Keys to the Game Today:
1. Don't Dig a Trench for Yourself
RMU cannot let FDU get more than 10 points ahead of them and it would be good to keep it closer than that if not maintain a lead throughout the game.
2. Let's score the ball!
Andy Toole can talk all he wants above effort, defense, etc but if your team isn't scoring the ball at a decent rate and getting over 60+ pts in a game, it will be VERY hard to win.
Fun fact: Over their last two games, RMU has averaged barely over 50 pts. That is not good at all....
3. Make Free Throws & Rebound..
This team has shot itself in the foot all year by not being able to make free throws. Matty, Elijah, & Pryor are the only players shooting above 70 % from the stripe. YGTMYFT's !! Also, RMU can not get killed on the boards every single game! The Mount not only killed RMU scoring wise but also rebounded them by 18! 45-27... Everyone needs to hit the glass...every game.
Pryor... Plz get well soon and Frederick & Lester too.
