Football starting times

I noticed Homecoming kick-off is 3 PM. Any particular reason we're moving the Homecoming kick-off up 3 hours? I thought those 6 PM kick-offs we're cool. And is it just me but why, why, why, why are we kicking off at Noon? If it's not for TV I think it's keeping our attendance down. Actually, I like a 3 PM kick to be the norm rather than the exception.
Someone please explain this to me. Not understanding....

Noon starts are mandated for NEC play unless the two schools live within a certain radius of each other. CCSU, Bryant, etc. will never play a night game in Moon and RMU won't it out there. It's for travel reasons, or so I'm told.

The 3 p.m. start also might be out of travel considerations for Monmouth. That's not mandated but probably a gentleman's agreement.
