During this bye week, thought this might get some conversation going, or at least gives me a spot to put some thoughts down. Some could call these the way to early awards ha!

Best Game so far:
Dayton, great way to start season, and get that Flyer monkey off back.

Worst Game so far: YSU, I pick this one because Walker was starting, and really had a chance until late if the O could have gotten something going.

Defensive MVP:
Ferguson, young man has been fantastic, really great job all around.

Offensive MVP: Walker, able to throw the ball more this year, seems to have a good demeanor and appears to be a real leader out there.

Where did this guy come from?: Allison, had not heard much about him, well really nothing, until one of Banny's radio shows. Has had a couple drops, or his numbers could be much higher, but a great weapon out there.

Biggest need for improvement:
OLine, still a work in progress, and they have played some tough teams clearly. Seems though when Jimmy has some time, he can make stuff happen. Lot of season left, so hopefully they can continue to improve.

May add on to this later if I think about anything else, would love to hear any thoughts you all have on the season so far.

As a fan, we have a team to keep our interest up for the rest of the season. That's a big improvement over the past few years. Every game left on the schedule is a legitimate potential win. No more top 10 teams this year. I recognize that East Tennessee will be a challenging opponent and the Colonials will need to play well to have a chance of getting a W, At this point, I am really excited about the Conference play. The Colonials can be in the thick of it. The OL definitely needs to keep improving, and there is every reason to believe they will. These freshmen have been thrown in against top-tier opponents. They now should be getting used to the play, and what it takes to be successful at the college level. Go Colonials!

GoRMU. I think you are right. ETSU is going to be a very challenging game, if they can win that one, they have a great chance to compete/win the NEC.

It is pretty tough to get a read on the O for me. At times against VMI they could do just about anything that wanted to. Against YSU, would have been nice if they could have put one in the endzone.

I do think at the "skill" positions there is a lot of talent. WRs look good with Allison, Vecchio, Magee, Warren.

RBs are strong with Blake, Neal and Dreher.

TEs another good group with Gonzalez, Green and Elliott (think Elliott can be a star in the coming years).

Another big plus for the future is, with the exception of Green (SR) and Warren (JR) they are Freshmen or Sophomores. This O is young, and I would assume the plan is to RS Chase this year if possible and the coaches think he is the guy after Jimmy. We all know that the OLine is as about as young as it can be, and hopefully they are improving with every snap and practice rep.
