* Really ugly 1st half.

* Only 6 healthy scholarship players.

* The kids' game at half time was fun to watch.

* The last 2 minutes of the game with the walk-on players was the most enjoyable part of the game. They played with a lot of enthusiasm.

* Nate the great is only lacking size, he has quickness and good ball handling skills.

* Matty had a good game. I would like to see Kavon look for him more.

* Each year it appears we are going to have 13 scholarship players, the maximum allowed by the NCAA, and by January we are down to less than 10, then add in a few injuries and we are down to 6 last evening.

* Maybe RMU needs to have 15 scholarship players lined up in the summer. It seems we can count on 2 being gone by the time the season starts.

* Maybe RMU should focus more heavily on recruiting JUCO players. If the players are not going to be around for four years anyway, may as well bring in more mature and experienced players.

* Being a college coach these days must be very frustrating as players just come and go.

I agree with your points

Nate and Seth R. Are good walkons and Conrad isn't bad either.

Nate might be good enough with handling the ball to even be a back up PG. he seemed to be better with the ball than Witley or Lester have been.

Another thing....

Everyone..., I recommend watching the last 3 minutes of last nights game to see the walkons play. They really don't look bad. Watch on NECFrontRow.com and go under "Men's Basketball & go to the archives section and select full game replays and pick RMU vs the Mount. Then fast forward to just under the 3 min left in the game point...

The one (walkon) I'm most impressed with and might actually consider playing during the main part of a game (plz watch the last 3 min before you say this is dumb) is Nate Johnson. The kid has handled and moves, and actually looked pretty good out there.

Plz comment on this...

If I were Toole, I would consider giving him some time at PG (even 5 min a game when Kavon needs a breather) and see what he can do. I mean, why not at this point???

Also, Seth Rouse went 2-2 from the free throw line!! Hey... he can make free throws... Also, Conrad Stephens spin move in the lane was nice as well.

But plz watch the last 3 min and tell me what you think of Nate & the other walkons.

Remember, watch & comment...

Go RMU... #beatFDU

PS: I reallllllly hope Pryor can come back tomorrow. &/or any scholarship player at that matter (Lester, & Frederick too).
