I was out of the country on vacation and see that we lost to SHU and Wagner at home to start NEC play. Ouchhh. That's no good.

Nice to see we bounced back with a nice win at LIU Brooklyn. I'll be watching tonight as we look to go 2 for 2 in NYC. That would be a great way to get back on track. Also, some highlight real dunks from Minnie and Rodney!

Go Colonials.

Sadly, rather than continuing some momentum, RMU lost to SFC while only scoring 49 pts! A very low scoring game. Stewart went to the rim as C-Cappella describes it "a flying trash can" that was totally out of control. D
Some of the fouls he normally gets called against him weren't called tho, but he needs to take it strong to the hoop at times.

A much needed win over the Mount is coming up this Thursday.

Toole needs to get his team scoring and rebounding better.

Plz come back Aaron Tate!!!!!

Go RMU...

R-M-U-h-o-o-p-s-f-a-n you keep bringing up Tate. And, I agree, it's a shame he is not able to play. I am not doctor, and I don't know the specifics of Tate's injuries, but it has appeared to me in recent years that RMU rushes players back from injuries and then they are less then 100% for the rest of the season. From what was reported by Jason back on Oct. 26th, Tate was scheduled to have surgery Oct 27th, and to be out 2 to 3 weeks. This was to repair some nagging lower body issue. I was shocked when I read that he would only be out 2-3 weeks from surgery! Sure enough he played in the first game on Nov. 13th. the second game on Nov. 15, and 5 minutes in the third game Nov. 18th before leaving with an injury, and has not been back since. I know I am talking way out of line, because I do not know the specifics, and I know I am just a frustrated fan whose team is having a losing season, but possibly if Tate had been given time to fully recuperate from his surgery he would be back playing at full strength now for the Conference schedule.

Yea... Rushing him back was not a good idea. Now the lack of big men and rebounding is hurting the team.

***Another point I just thought about regarding the game yesterday. SF of Brooklyn is a gritty team and a good rebounding team. They have a couple undersized bigs (like Aaron Tate) at like 6-6 but can rebound very well and are strong players. Having played Billy Giles (who is like 6-6 barely 200 lb), 30 min in this game is too much time at Center against SFK's good big men. Andre Frederick, who has decent size, only got 6 min in a game that at least his presence and weight could have held back SFK's bigs some.

***Another note... Because of all the points stated above, it is NOT good to get into a low scoring affair with a good defensive and rebounding team.

***RMU's lack of size and rebounding has cost them games (& probably will in the future) and I hope that in the future Toole & Co. can get (recruit) bigger, and better bigs to fight down low and rebound against bigger, tough teams.

***Hopefully we can beat the Mount on Thursday!!

Go RMU...
