Brandon Stone, a Pittsburgh area native, is transferring from La Salle to Robert Morris. He's a 6-foot-11 sophomore.

No idea if he'll be eligible right away due to the current COVID-19 policies in the NCAA (the ones which will likely get Khaliel Spier eligible shortly, too), or if he has to sit out, but that's a definite size boost.

Good job sharing this news so quickly. Brandon Stone is a great fit. He was a 3 star recruit offered by Pitt, Penn State, Maryland and many others. Welcome Brandon!

Trib says he will sit out the rest of the year and have three years of eligibility.

This is great news! A legit big man. Brandon is not just tall, he has some good basketball skills and D-1 experience.
By transferring second semester, he will be knowledgeable of Toole's system for next season. It is rare that the Colonials get a player taller than 6'8", it may be even more rare that they get a player from western Pennsylvania.
In Brandon they are getting both. It was great to have Matty McConnell on the team for four years and his family and friends attending the games, but I cannot even remember the last western PA kid prior to him. I am already excited about next season to see Brandon on the court for the Colonials!
