RMU is looking to go over .500 in conference play Thursday against SFPA. Both teams currently sit at 2-2 in conference play and have about the same wins on the season (RMU-6 & SFPA-5).

Robert Morris could really use a W for this game. The Colonials were fortunate to escape with a win against Saint Francis Brooklyn on Saturday. Being up by as much as 14 in the 2nd half RMU let SFBK climb back to within one point. Thankfully RMU pulled out a 4 point victory in the end.

Key for RMU in this game is to score well throughout the game.

If RMU scores more than 65-70 points, they should win.

Hopefully Isaiah Still has a good game and Matty McConnell can get it going offensively.

Both Burkes played well on Saturday and, even as freshmen, both need to play well to give RMU good chances to win games.

Let's beat our (somewhat) local NEC rivals!

Go Bobby Mo!

All conference games are big, but this one seems to really loom large. A win and we are above .500, and loss and we are below.
The guys have come out and play a full game, as SFU is a pretty good NEC team. I know they can do it, just have to have the right mindset.

Note: I do not think the game is on NEC Front row. I think it is on ROOT and MSG.

It's on Root tonight??

Cool...maybe I'll stay home to watch it.

Idk if I can make it out to the game yet tho either. We'll see.

If we want any chance to contend in the conference, really could use to win this bad boy...especially with Saturday's game @ Wagner (not that we can't beat them...but still...a tougher team.

Go RMU!

Just checked on RMU's website.

It says the games on MSG+,FCS, & Root Sports.

Only problem is looks like the Pens game is on Root sports.

Wouldn't be right if Pgh people have no way to watch the game!???

Team took a 77-57 loss tonight...

Toole complained on the radio afterwards about the bad attendance but losing so bad has hurt it.

Need to get some wins to get people in the doors.

Pittsburgh was only support winners basically.

Winning pulls in crowds.
Look at football and their home attendance.

And the cost for RMU home games is unreal. Sure students get in free but fans on a Thursday nights can just watch the game online or stream to your TV via Apple TV.

Ya...12 bucks a tix is a little too much if they want lots to come out.

Maybe also offer 21 & under people tix for $5 to come out.

Would incentivize younger people to come out to see RMU w/out spending too much.

General admission should also go back to $10 a tix too at the most.

Also, 3 or 5 game mini packs at a discounted rate should be offered!

Some good ideas here IMO

PS: ya I use NEC front row a lot lol

Oh...also just checked Mount Saint Mary's bball prices and you can get in for unreserved General Admissom for just $5.

I would go to more games at that rate TBH.

Definitely helps the mount get a lot of people in the arena...

RMU needs to look into this soon...especially with the new arena coming...need to offer cheaper seating even if it's way up top

Agree
Can't charge top rate for a mid-tier NEC team.
You would think with the ticket prices and the 1921 club they would actually build a new arena and not simply slap lipstick on old Sewall Center and call that the new arena

I've heard their tearing the whole arena down and building the new one from scratch right where the Sewell Center currently sits...

We'll see tho

Need some more comfortable seating for sure

So, RMU is not a good shooting team. St Francis's defense limited inside shots, RMU had opportunities to take outside shots, but too many were off the mark. St. Francis had a good night shooting the ball. Toole always says that teams will have off nights shooting, but that is no reason to have an off night on defense. This team, since it has limitations scoring, needs to have a lot of energy on defense to be successful.

Just listened to the game on radio, but even they said, the team looked like it quit. That, if true, is more disturbing than anything. As mentioned above, it should not matter if you are down by 20, you have to play your tail off. Fight no matter what. If you do not win because the other team is better, or you have were not shooting great that is fine with me as long as you bust your butt and give it hell. If you do win, and quit, that is inexcusable to me, and should be to the team.

RMU's football team was a good example of this last season. They lost a lot, but they always seemed to play hard.

This game was the LIU game again...poor defense and Isaiah Still not playing well offensively and getting frustrated. Hopefully he will learn soon that no matter how well your shootings you still have to give 100% effort out on the court.

RMU could really use to upset Wagner tomorrow.
