I heard this second or third hand, so I don't know how reliable it is, but It's Koby who does not think he is ready to play. Some guys take a long time to come back from a concussion, even if they are cleared. It takes a lot of drive and love of the game to be a D-1 athlete. We fans assume that just because a guy has the talent to land a scholarship that he has, or should have, that drive and love of the game to put up with the demands involved. This is purely suspicion on my part, but I have always wondered if Koby just does not have the desire for basketball to make the total commitment to play consistently at this level. That is not a criticism of Koby, we all have different interests that motivate us. Anyway, as an RMU fan, I do hope that he does come back healthy and ready to play next season. As far as pure athletic talent, he probably is the best in the Conference. He also seems to be a likable guy who, to my knowledge, gets along well with his teammates. It sure would be great to see Koby's amazing dunks next season to open up the new arena.
