As always, just for fun..

Just a quick note, 1-5 were tough to rank for me. That Wagner game last week shook things up for the conference. I think you could almost make an argument for any of them to be in first or fifth.

7. CCSU (1-3 0-1): Only win again Bowie State. Bryant beat them by 20 last week, they have Penn this week which if they win will move them up.

6. RoMo (1-4 0-0): I took them out of the basement (HOMER ALERT). Score was pretty bad against Liberty, but Liberty is a pretty good team. There were some positives on O, including what I think was the best drive of the year so far. Tough NEC opener against SFU, so hopefully the boys can put a whole game together and give the Frankies hell!

5. SHU (4-1 0-1): Tough to put these guys with their OOC wins, but Wagner beat them, and beat them bad 45-20. They have the week off to get ready for Cornell which is another tough game. Will be interesting to see how they come back from what I am sure was a shocking loss to them.

4. Bryant (2-3 1-0): Took it to CCSU, had a heck of a tough OOC. They also have a bye week before they take on the Frankies 10/15.

3. Duquesne (3-2 0-0): They are on a bye week this weekend, their next game is against the Colonials on 10/15. Sure we will have a lot of good talk about that one. As ORMC has mentioned a few times, they are just a tough team to get a read on. We won’t learn anything about them this week.

2. Wagner (3-1 1-0): OOC beat who they were supposed to, lost who they were supposed to. Big upset last week beating SHU. They go back to OOC with Columbia this week, which is a nice local game for them against a tough IVY.

1. SFU (2-3 0-0): Very tough OOC as well. They hung, or were leading @Montana, @ Towson, @Albany. Albany is starting to get real FCS national buzz, tough game with Richmond this week should be great. Back to the Franks. I think their body of work so far put them at the top of the conference.

7. RMU (1-4 0-0): RMU hasn't put together anything in 5 games that show they can challenge for the NEC title but things can change and it starts with SFU. I have to see something for 4 quarters before RMU moves up.

6. CCSU (1-3 0-1): Only one win but it wasn't against a DII team.

5. SHU (4-1 0-1): Bad beat-down by Wagner to open the NEC play. Puts them back in the NEC ranking but will regroup during their bye week.

4. Bryant (2-3 1-0): Beat a CCSU team that can't stop anyone.

3. Wagner (3-1 1-0): Eye opening win vs. SHU. Still don't believe in this Wagner team but have to reward them.

2. Duquesne (3-2 0-0): The Dukes top players are starting to play like All-Stars. 6 TD passes from the former WPIAL player that RMU did not offer. Hines is your ROY of the year for the offense in the NEC unless he gets injured.

1. SFU (2-3 0-0): Best RB and WR in the NEC; in terms of stats. Big/Solid OL and their D has been stopping top FCS programs.
