Last OCC game for the Colonials and its at the Palumbo Center. Going into NEC games 7-6 would look a lot better than 6-7. If they can play like they did in first half of NC State they should roll, though I know its tough to shoot like that for an entire game.

Hope Gombe gets rewarded and gets to start. Canisius is 5-7 and in the MAAC.

We had a pretty strong game and were 2 points closer to NCS than predicted but we drop 5 spots in this rating. We need to pay attention to beat Canisius. They lost at Buffalo by 5 while we went down by 16. Also we beat Youngstown on the road by 7 while Canisius beat them at home by 20. The Golden Griffs take pride in their defense, and hit 9 threes a game. Should be fun. By the way the game is at Palumbo because of Trans Siberian Orchestra at PPG at 3 and 8 PM, so parking should be good for the game @ 7:00.

Rmufan, appreciate the much deeper dive you took than I did. My prediction may have been too optimistic, but I think Toole has put together a pretty darn good team that is a lot of fun to watch.

Hopefully, the team can get a W this evening. Not expecting much, from either team, these games, so close to Christmas, are difficult games. All of the non-athlete students have been home for a week now. The players are eager to finally get a short break to head home to family and friends after the game. There will likely be a small crowd in attendance. Often, these are sloppy games. This out of conference schedule has certainly exceeded my expectations. This is an exciting and talented young team that should really do well against NEC opponents. It will be great if the guys can play well enough to get the W tonight, and the head home with a winning record. Go Colonials!

I agree this game will likely be sloppy. This team seems to be able to pull itself out of a funk when it has a bad streak during a game. That short memory is a good thing for any team, especially a young one. Anything can happen tonight. Hopefully we have at least one more point than them at the end.

Wasn't able to watch but losing by double digits to a team ranked worse than us isn't good at home*.

Hopefully he gave it to them & they play a lot better when NEC play starts.

He was on bench, so I would assume injury, I'm not certain on rules but think if it grades related at end of semester he would not have made trip, team suspension I would again assume he would not have been on bench. Just speculation.
