Game Notes: RMU vs. Wagner

Is Lewis starting? I'm sure it was asked on the Coaching show last night but didn't get a chance to listen.

Listened to radio show on demand a couple hours after my post. Coach did say Lewis is starting. Said guys rallied around him well.

I was sold on George early. He is a year away. Needs to work on his feet and escapability. While Lewis is no burner the ball comes out quicker and he makes quicker decisions (experience).

The D continues to improve from their base 4-3.

Not sure what kept George out of the VMI game, but assuming it was an injury maybe it's lingering. I really do think he can be a above average/great NEC qb, but as you said, Lewis is currently the clear choice.

Have heard good things about DePaul though likely will not see him this year unless in mop up duty or NEC portion of season takes a bad turn and just want to give him some pt and keep redshirt.

Last two games haven't been pretty offensively, but the defense is really growing into something good. Finally getting pressure on the QB, creating turnovers, and a huge play on special teams. Secondary is so much better with Gray and White back there. Harville with a nice INT.

Biggest thing has been up front, and it's two guys who have finally found positions - Buzzacco at LB and Fairman as a LB/DE. Playmakers.

Lewis was OK to start, but he got knocked around quite a bit and then injured his ankle. Martin was OK and helped lead the winning TD drive. Hope Jackson is alright after taking a hard fall when he went airborne just before the Stephens TD.

2-0 in the NEC. 3-1 on the road trip. Home game next week for the first time since mid-September.

Playing good enough to win, they seem awfully close. Couple more winnable games then DUQ and CCSU.

Great to have 2 competent QBs. George did enough and seemed to stand in pocket a lot better today than last week.
