First MBB Game at New UPMC Events Center

Tomorrow is the big day. Two years of playing downtown and at the rec center are behind us. Unfortunately Pitt lost at home to Nicholls State on Saturday, so expect them to come out ready to make up for that loss. Better their intensity fellas and let's see what happens!

Ya it would have been nice had Pitt got a nice 10+ point win on Saturday but now they’ve been humbled & will be prepared.

On our side, we must improve on the blowout loss at Notre Dame. The Williams Brothers need to step up and play a good game. That would help out a lot. Bain/Bramah & Mendy will also need to be solid/good in this game.

Lastly, shooting 40% or higher from the field while making 3’s will be big to staying in this one.

All in all, really looking forward to attending this sold out game!

RMU falls to Pitt by 14 (71-57). A good first half but not so good 2nd as Pitt took over.

RMU is certainly not as bad as the Notre Dame 35 point loss & still needs to adjust with the newcomers. Russell, Bramah & Hawkins.

Our rotation only went 8 players deep in this one.

We just didn't score even with open looks. It's hard to win when you can't put the ball in the hole. We needed 20+ from Josh to open things up and it just wasn't to be.

Team feels like it could be really tough to play against, but all of the pieces just aren't quite in sync yet. I think the Williams's will be fine. I think Bain started to find his shot a little bit with a couple treys. Get the inside guys going consistently and it'll be looking good.

Ya...Tyrell Brown for Pitt blocked some of our big’s shots early & that scared them. While he’s not a great ACC big by any means, he’s still more talented than any big man they’ll face in the NEC.

Looking at the schedule now, a neutral site game vs Howard will be next on Friday. This is definitely the most winnable game so far this season & RMU should be favored in this one.
